3 Ways To Enhance Your Buttocks

Posted on

Having a toned and curvy buttocks is part of the ideal physique for many people. If you are self-conscious about your buttocks and want to change it, there are ways to enhance your shape, depending on your goals.

1. Build Your Glute Muscles

If you are into fitness and want more muscular curves, the best way to enhance your buttocks will be through regular strength-training. There are several exercises that help work the glute muscles. The most common exercise is squats. In the beginning, you can use your own body weight and simply squat down like you are sitting down.

As you build endurance and strength, you should add weights either with dumbbells or using a weighted squat bar. Lunges are another easy body-weight exercise that works the glutes. Many people specifically target their glutes by doing hip thrusts. You can add resistance by placing a weight plate on your pelvis. To make the exercise more comfortable, you might want to place padding under the weight, so it does not hurt your pelvic bone.

2. Auto-Augmentation

Auto-augmentation involves using your own tissue to enhance your buttocks. The auto-augmentation might involve transplanting your own tissue or fat to the buttocks to help improve the shape of the area. In some cases, an auto-augmentation is performed with a lift, especially if you have lost a significant amount of weight and have loose skin in the area.

This procedure is ideal for people who might be having other types of plastic surgery simultaneously, such as a tummy tuck or body lift, since each surgical procedure can require significant recovery time. After an auto-augmentation, drains and pressure garments are used to reduce fluid build-up and swelling, which can hinder healing and lead to infection. Although fat transplantation is easier than using tissue, the long-term results of transplanted fat can be less certain. Just like anywhere else on your body, you can lose the transplanted fat if your weight decreases.

3. Silicone Implants

Silicone implants can be inserted into your buttocks, much like breast implants. This type of procedure may be necessary if you do not have extra tissue available for an auto-augmentation. One benefit of implants is you and your surgeon have more control over the size of the results. Before you choose implants, you will need to discuss future maintenance. Many implants are not expected to stay in the body indefinitely and will need to be replaced.

Another consideration is how your implant may look in the future, especially if your weight fluctuates. Although you may want larger implants because it currently matches your body type, if you lose weight, your implants could make you look out of proportion. In some cases, a lift is also done with implants, but if your loose skin is minimal, the extra volume from the implant might reduce skin laxity.

Whether you want to build muscle to enhance your buttocks or opt for surgery, the right choice will depend on your goals. Fortunately, there are many options to improve your physique if you are not happy with your buttocks. For more information, contact your local butt augmentation service.
